"I first saw Atomic Wings on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. I love wings, and the bit they were in caught my eye, so my wife and I flew to New York City to talk to Zak and the rest of the Atomic Wings team. After we tried the product, we were impressed. We knew right away that Atomic Wings is superior to other wing brands and that we have premium wings over competitors. From there, we looked at the model, talked to other franchisees and were sold. Because the brand is emerging, we were also able to sign on as area developers, so we knew we found the right fit in our efforts to expand our portfolio."

"Throughout the entire development process, Zak has been super hands-on and has supported us 100 percent. Even though he had just had an operation and was on crutches, Zak still made sure to show up to our soft opening. If I ever had any questions, Zak was only a phone call away. Then, when the pandemic started, we were nervous about how things were going to play out, but sales actually shot up 30% based on the fact that wings work so well through delivery. Plus, less competition, third-party delivery partnerships and great food allowed us to fare tremendously well. "

"We know good chicken, and we know good-quality wings. When you try Atomic Wings, it isn’t a type of chicken that holds back. It is a full chicken wing with tons of sauces, and you can get great sides, like waffle fries. The quality of food and cost of this opportunity just made it a no-brainer."

“It’s been great to work with a system that’s already established, and it’s incredible to be able to lean on that support. That, and the wings! There’s really no good place around here that you can get good wings that aren’t breaded, and Atomic Wings fills that need. Atomic Wings has high-quality, good wings hands down.”

CO-OWNER & CEO

ZAK OMAR

Zak Omar has been a lifelong entrepreneur. He first learned about being a business owner from his father, an Afghani refugee who arrived in New York city in the 1980s. His father introduced a new food option: a mobile fried chicken truck that he would park right outside of 1 Chase Manhattan Plaza. When his father got sick, Omar and his brother, Ray, decided to pursue their own entrepreneurial goals by becoming multi-unit franchisees with Dunkin’. In 2013, Omar fell ill himself and was diagnosed with leukemia. He used this diagnosis as inspiration to expand his portfolio, ultimately investing in Atomic Wings and taking over as CEO in 2016.

Together with his brother Ray, Atomic Wings CEO Zak Omar is a veteran franchisee. The brothers co-own and operate multiple Dunkin’ franchise locations and have been lifelong entrepreneurs — they first learned how to run a business from their father, an Afghani refugee who ran a mobile fried chicken truck right outside of 1 Chase Manhattan Plaza. Now, Omar is committed to growing Atomic Wings through a franchisee-first mentality. After learning what works — and doesn’t — in a franchise business model, Atomic Wings is centered on franchisee happiness and success.
